Lunch in Townsend

We stopped off the beaten path to one of those cafe's you always see on the side of the road... We had a great lunch and checked out the shops that were connected to this cafe. Once again, a great change of pace and a nice relaxing afternoon. Funny how the kids NEVER want their picture taken... I had to BEG Lexi and Jasmine for a good picture.

Beautiful Day!

After a CRAZY night of wind and storms, we awoke to a beautiful morning. I got up early, made breakfast for the kids (one of my FAVORITE things to do for Wendy and the kids on vacation), then we went to the Foothills Parkway. The Foothills is off the beaten path, about 20 minutes from Gatlinburg... It's very popular motorcycle trail... Today it seemed we were the only ones on top of this gorgeous mountain. It's definitely a great departure from the hustle and bustle of the main National Park. The snow capped mountains made for some awesome views.

Having fun in our room!!

We got to our cabin just in time for the rain!!! Se we cooked out and got into the hot tub. Played some pool and then did some bed jumping!!
